Introduction
The Computer Training College, developed by
the late John Barry, former Adult Education
Organiser, was set up by the VEC in 1994 and
quickly acquired a reputation for quality
computer and business training. The college
currently offers courses accredited by ECDL,
City and Guilds Pitman and FETAC.
Courses are also run in conjunction with NUI
Maynooth, NUI Galway, National College of
Ireland (NCI), National Irish Safety Organisation
(NISO), Institute of Public Administration
(IPA) and The Institute of Accounting Technicians
in Ireland.
To keep up with changes in technology, the
Computer Training College has excellent modern
facilities including: |
- Three computer rooms with high-speed
computers and the latest software
- Audio-visual aids including data projector,
overhead projector, television, video
recorder and digital and video camera
- Broadband connection, which allows for
instant, high-speed Internet and e-mail
access
- Classroom for non-computer studies
- Canteen facilities
