STUDENT GRANT SCHEMES 2011/2012

County Longford VEC in conjunction with the Department of Education and Skills administers a means-tested Grant scheme that offers financial support to students attending universities, institutes of technology and approved PLC Colleges.

County Longford VEC administrates the following Grant Schemes:

• VEC Scholarship Scheme – for Honours Degree Courses (level 8 & higher)
• TLT Maintenance Grant Scheme for Trainees – for higher certificate (level 6) and Ordinary Degree (level 7) courses
• PLC Scheme – for approved level 5/6 courses in PLC Colleges

Longford County Council administers grants for students who gain entry into universities.

The application form can be downloaded from www.studentfinance.ie along with the application notes and final course acceptance forms.
